An overview of the key food-safety requirements for a sole proprietor in Ontario who harvests and sells fresh fungi (e.g., wild-foraged or cultivated mushrooms) within Ontario only. While the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) primarily apply to interprovincial and international trade, there are still important provincial and local rules to follow.
